Lopes is a mature music educator with decades of experience and
excellent results helping students of all ages and cultural backgrounds
to achieve their goals. PlayMusicnow's unique approach invites children
and adults
to develop their creativity and musical perception, training students
to identify musical concepts present in their day-to-day contact with
the sound universe. Our teaching methods, which include encouragement
for composition, bring about fast learning, effective technique, a more
joyful experience with music-making, and a good general understanding
of music as a whole.

You
(or your child) will learn your preferred instrument but will also
learn how to understand, love and manipulate sounds from your own
cultural heritage. Our philosophy is based on helping children and
adults stay in touch with the cultural treasures each of us brings from
the world community (whether American, Chinese, Russian, or African).
This heritage is, many times, richer and more meaningful than the canned music education methods on the market today. Students will have a chance to play songs they learned when they were younger and to share them with their families. It is important to us as teachers that students connect with their culture so that they can continue to enjoy and appreciate this multicultural world. |

PlayMusicNow
teaches children and adults, beginners to advanced students. We also
teach harmony, composition and music theory. We offer a wide range of
fun and stimulating workshops, including instrument-making with
recycled materials, percussion, and creative music development. Our
goal is to create opportunities for individuals of all ages to find
that special creative part of themselves.
